BCCI

Indian cricket has its ups and downs; while they have enjoyed some success in bilateral series, they haven’t been able to build on that success in ICC competitions.

When it comes to ICC competitions, India’s performance has been dismal, whether it was losing to Three Lions by a large margin of 10 wickets or the top order’s inability to produce with the willow when it meant the most.

One player who was essential to India’s development in the longest format, Rishabh Pant, is going through a difficult time in his life. Test cricket is the only format in which India has demonstrated consistency and pride.

Rishabh Pant met with an accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway while he was driving back home and since then he is on the path of recovery and rehabilitation.

There is a bad news for Pant fans who underwent a surgery few days back and taking about the things unfolded around him we need to move few dates back.

On January 6th 2023, Rishabh Pant underwent one of his surgeries. He still needs three more, which would take time, and the former had to recover from these operations.

It was difficult for him to rehabilitate and return to the cricket field this year because one of those surgeries involved an anterior cruciate ligament damage.

According to claims from many media sources, Pant will stop participating in games in 2023, regardless of the three formats.

Fans of Rishabh Pant will be disappointed by the news because they had hoped to see their favourite player represent India in the upcoming 50-over World Cup.

In the longest format of the game, Pant has been an essential cognitive cog, and the Indian team will be most negatively affected by his absence.

Due to his natural talent and propensity to deliver when the game is on the line, Pant is hailed as India’s upcoming leading man.

He will not play for India later this year, that has already been confirmed.

The series against Australia is the most crucial one because it falls on the World Test Championship and the winner has the best chance of playing in the championship game, which is set for July 2023 later this year. India will be preparing for the series against New Zealand and then Australia.
