The 2nd leg of the 2nd semifinal will be played at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Monday 7;30 pm IST.
ATK Mohun Bagan & Hyderabad FC played a goalless match against each other in the 1st leg of the semi final at GachiBowli Stadium In Hyderabad.The 1st leg ended as a draw with the score being 0-0 despite both the teams got some clear chances to score but they were not able to do so because the forward’s lacked that accuracy to convert chances into goals.
The Defending Champions and the host created some early chances and were looking strong but because of ATK Mohun Bagan’s strong defenders they were not able to find the net. Even ATK Mohun Bagan could’nt pass through the formidable defence of Hyderabad FC. As Fans ,We Experienced a high quality defensive game in the 1st leg between the defensive powerhouse of ISL season 2022-23 where both the teams have 11 clean sheets this season.We have to give credit to Gurmeet and Kaith as both the keepers made some excellent saves to deny their opponent’s forward.
The 2nd leg is going to be a very challenging match for Hyderabad FC because of the home support ATK Mohun Bagan gets at salt lake. But still both the teams have an equal chance to get into the finals as they head into the 2nd leg with no advantage.The strategy for both the teams will be to try to score an early goal and then sticking up to their strength which is the defensive gameplay. ATK Mohun Bagan has to grab the counter attacking opportunity because they are able to move the ball across the field quickly and Hyderabad has to stick to their strength of playing along the line and scoring goals through set pieces . So It’s going to be intriguing to see both the teams getting out of their comfort zone to score first and set their foot into the finals.
