Watch: Fans applauds Jemimah Rodrigues after her sweet gesture during WPL game

Jemimah Rodrigues of the Delhi Capitals (DC) was having fun on Sunday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In a trending video shared on social media, Rodrigues was spotted stunning the audience with her dance moves. Another gesture made by Jemimah during the game is currently making the rounds on social media. In a video shared by her team, DC, Jemimah can be seen providing beverages inside the stadium to keep the fans hydrated.

Jemi “knows how to win hearts!” wrote one of her fans. Another supporter said, “Love u Jemmi..Delhi hai Dilwalon ki.” with heart emojis. One user joked, “Jemhi is such a humble & lovely guy ever. Another fan asked why Jem was so good in the video.

Speaking of the match, Tara Norris, a left-arm fast bowler, claimed five wickets as Delhi Capitals crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 60 runs in their opening match of the competition. Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning both scored aggressive fifties.

When Norris returned with stats of 5/29 after Delhi Capitals had amassed an impressive 223 for two at the Brabourne Stadium, she obliterated the RCB outfit.

The Smriti Mandhana-led team was limited to 163 for eight in 20 overs while chasing the enormous 224.

Earlier, DC posted the second consecutive 200-plus score in the WPL thanks to superb knocks of 84 and 72 runs from opener Shafali and the Australian captain Lanning. In Saturday’s debut WPL game, Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants for 64 after reaching a total of 207 for five.

Lanning, the skipper of Australia, was more methodical with her shots, slamming 72 off 43 balls (14 fours), while the young India opener played some magnificent power-packed strokes in her 84-run innings, which came off just 45 deliveries (10 fours and four sixes).
