Shahbaz Nadeem Makes Test Debut, Becomes 296th Player To Play Test Cricket For India

Shahbaz Nadeem has been given the chance to represent India in test match cricket in his hometown Ranchi. The lanky spinner will play in place of Ishant Sharma in the third test match against South Africa. Just before the toss, he was given the test cap by none other than the Indian skipper Virat Kohli himself.

Shahbaz Nadeem has played 110 first-class matches and grabbed 424 wickets at an average of 28.59. He has also contributed with the bat, scoring 2131 runs in his illustrious first class career. The left-arm orthodox spinner has nineteen 5-wicket hauls and five 10-wicket hauls to his name, his best bowling figure is 7 wickets for 45 runs.

As far as his List A career is concerned, he has taken 145 wickets in 106 matches. The spinner was playing for Jharkhand in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy, but has now been called for national duty.

Shahbaz Nadeem is someone who the Indian fans are already very familar with as they have witnessed him playing for Delhi Daredevils in the past. He was once a rising star in the IPL.

The left arm spinner has played 64 IPL matches so far and has taken 42 wickets with the best bowling figure of 3/16.
