The 2022-23 Ranji Trophy which is the 88th edition of the premier first class cricket of India has reached the Quarter-final stages with 8 teams battling it out for the ultimate prize. This tournament is one of India’s most important and historic tournament which has been taking place since 1934.
Bombay – present day Mumbai were the inaugural winners and have also won the most number of Ranji trophies in the history of the tournament. This season, 38 teams were divided into 5 groups – Elite A, B, C, D and the Plate group. After weeks of tussle only 8 teams remain and 4 will proceed to the next round.

Meanwhile on Day 2 of the Quarter-final between Andhra Pradesh and reigning champions Madhya Pradesh, the South Indian team took a lead of 379 at Lunch with dominating knocks from Ricky Bhui and Karan Shinde on Day 1. Anubhav Aggarwal of MP took the most wickets – 4 but Andhra Pradesh are yet to get bowled out.
