Prize Money Announced For WTC Final 2023, Check Out What Amount Will Winner Get

The prize money for the WTC 2021–2023 cycle was revealed on Wednesday by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The nine teams will split a staggering Rs 31.4 crore, the same as the last cycle (2019–21), according to an official announcement. Starting on June 7, the WTC final 2023 at the Lord’s in London will pit Australia against India.

The prize money for the competition is unchanged from that for the championship’s first season (2019–21). Total purse of the WTC 2021-23 tournament is $3.8 million (approx Rs. 31 crores). The grand prize for winning the WTC Final is estimated to be worth Rs 13.22 crore, while the approximate prize money for the runners-up is Rs 6.61 crore.

South Africa, who finished third in the points standings and was denied a position in the WTC final 2023, would get around Rs 3.72 crore.

England, who concluded their campaign in fourth place after a late push, will get $350,000. Sri Lanka, one of the top teams vying for a place in the decisive match during the epic finale, came in fifth place and earned $200,000 (about Rs. 1.65 crores).

The Statement also said, “The remaining teams New Zealand (No.6), Pakistan (No.7), West Indies (No.8), and Bangladesh (No.9) will each receive a sum of $100,000 (roughly Rs 82.7 lakh).”
