In the on-going Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan at the Sher-E-Bangla stadium, Najmul Hossain Shanto has put the hosts in the driving seat, thanks to a wonderful century. The Bangla tigers are totally dominating Afghanistan who are missing a key player in the form of Rashid Khan.
The visitors asked Bangladesh to bat first after winning the coin toss earlier this morning. Afghan Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi would have hoped for restricting the hosts in the spin friendly track at Mirpur but Bangladesh have already scored 200+ runs in the first day with another session to go.

Amir Hamza gets the major breakthrough of Najmul Hossain Shanto
Afghanistan left-arm spinner Amir Hamza brought back a pinch of smile to the visitors as he picked the massive wicket of Najmul Shanto who was running away with the game. The Bangladeshi batter failed to pick up a beautifully tossed delivery by Hamza.
As Najmul looked to smack it out of the park, he misjudged the length and sent the ball high towards deep mid-wicket. Following Najmul’s dismissal, Afghanistan are swiftly making a comeback. Number 6 batter Litton Das fell prey to Zahir Khan’s trickery and the visitors are making their presence felt in the 3rd session.
