Since it is just the start of IPL 2021 but things are not working for SRH at the moment as they have lost their both game against KKR and RCB respectively.

SRH middle order has also struggled on both occasions in run chase where they failed to capitalize the start given by their opener and the reliable middle-order batsman Kane Williamson has not played first two matches for Hyderabad-based franchise as the ace player is still recovering from his injury.

SRH coach Trevor Bayliss finally broke his silence on this issue and stated that NZ skipper is not 100 percent match fit and still needs time to recover from his injury which he sustained ahead of the Bangladesh series last month.

He further stressed that the New Zealand skipper is working hard on the nets will come into the scheme of things once the tournament progresses for SRH.

“We had two days of practice before the RCB game, and Kane Williamson practiced in one of the days. So, he’s coming along,” said Bayliss in the post-match press conference.

In the recently concluded match against RCB, David Warner-led side decided to play Jason Holder in place of Mohammad Nabi where the latter failed to deliver in the inaugural match of SRH against KKR who is touted as a specialist all-rounder known for finishing pressure situation games.

Detailing his opinion on the same, Bayliss added, “Mohammad Nabi got hit on the head against KKR. He’s still feeling the effects of that hit. Therefore, we played Jason Holder. He adds to our pace attack with his height and bounce. He exactly did so in this match.”
