IND Vs NZ 3rd ODI : Watch Indian Skipper slam Broadcasters after his 30th Ton

After a wonderful series wins against New Zealand on Tuesday, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma blasted critics and media broadcasters by breaking a 3-year run without a Century. His stature in the team is equivalent to Virat Kohli’s so when the centuries went missing, many criticized and many said this is the end of Rohit Sharma.

Yesterday he reached triple figures in 83 balls and registered his 30th ODI Ton. The 35-year-old clapped back at the critics thanks to his form and newly found rhythm. Once the match ended, a lot of questions were thrown at him during a post match conference.

The Broadcasters of the match, had aired a video which showed that after 3 years, Rohit has made a comeback and according to the Batter, the video was also misleading as it showed that he was heavily under performing. Rohit fired at Star sports by saying that they must put out things that are true and factual.

In his defense he said – “Regarding the first hundred in three years, I’ve played only 12 ODIs in three years, so three years sounds a lot.” He further added – “You guys should know what’s happening. I know that it was shown on the broadcast, sometimes, you (the broadcasters) need to show the right things also. The last entire year, we didn’t play ODI cricket, we focused on T20 cricket a lot. So, sometimes, people should keep things in mind the broadcasters should show the right things”.

He was triggered once again after a journalist asked him about his comeback. And for a fact, Sharma played only 17 ODIs since his 29th Century in January 2020 and then there was the lockdown and not many ODI matches were organized.

At Holkar Stadium yesterday, Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill had forged upon the Kiwi bowlers and laid the foundation for setting up a total of 385 but the visitors got fold out on 295 as India earned a 90-run win to clean sweep the series by 3-0.
