Fresh Genshin Impact Glitch Allows Wriothesley to Whack Foes with Book

Wriothesley is a newly introduced character in Genshin Impact, distinguished as the game’s first cryo catalyst user. In combat, he has a penchant for engaging enemies with gauntlets, akin to League of Legends Vi, but he can also wield a catalyst book as an improvised blunt weapon.

A Genshin player shared a video on October 18, demonstrating Wriothesley performing normal attacks while holding a catalyst book in his left hand, as if he’s determined to give someone a literary beating. While the animations may appear a bit unconventional, they provide some humorous moments.

“In a fight to the death, anything goes, including beating someone to death with a gravy boat,” one player humorously commented. It seems Wriothesley takes this concept quite literally, which might not bode well for those with an interest in reading, like Alhaitham.

The Genshin community is speculating about other catalysts that might yield comical results. Weapons like A Thousand Floating Dreams, which resembles a teapot, or Kagura’s Verity (Yae Miko’s signature) and Tulaytullah’s Remembrance (Wanderer’s signature) are considered candidates for trying out this entertaining bug. Even Memory of Dust, a catalyst resembling a rock block, could offer a good laugh when smacking foes with it.

Despite the fun of these bugs and memes, Wriothesley is now available in the game, and players who have encountered him in the Archon Quests can try to obtain him over the next few weeks. He not only boasts an improved in-game model but also delivers substantial damage with the right build.

However, players who are eagerly saving their hard-earned Primogems for the Hydro Archon Furina may have to pass on Wriothesley, as she is rumored to make her appearance in the first phase of Genshin Impact’s version 4.2.

Wriothesley, Genshin Impact’s unique cryo catalyst user, has added a delightful twist to the game with his ability to wield a book as an unconventional weapon. This glitch has sparked humor among players, making for entertaining moments. Despite these playful bugs, Wriothesley offers both an appealing in-game presence and significant damage potential with the right setup. However, those anticipating the Hydro Archon Furina in version 4.2 may need to prioritize their Primogems accordingly.
