Ashes 2nd Test 2023: England vs Australia Dream 11 Fantasy Team and Predictions

After registering a famous victory at Edgbaston in the first Ashes test and taking a 1-0 lead in the series, Australia will now go to the iconic Lord’s stadium for the second test match of the Ashes series against England beginning on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

The first test match of the series was one for the history books, where we saw some high-level and intense cricket being played in a fierce battle between these two cricketing nations. Since that match, a verbal battle has been going on between the former Australian and current English players, which has made the series more interesting.

The second match is expected to be played on a green field, as the early images of the ground before the game display such a picture. This will be highly contradictory to the pitch that was there in the first match, as it was a flat deck with no help for the bowlers.

As far as the playing 11s are concerned, both captains are expected to go in with the same team. England might hand a test cap to the 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed if Moeen Ali is not fit; otherwise, the teams will be the same in all likelihood.

Dream 11 Fantasy Team

The Dream 11 fantasy team is very difficult to make because both teams have quality players in their ranks. We have chosen Jonny Bairstow as the wicketkeeper in our team. The batters include Joe Root, Steve Smith, Harry Brook, and Usman Khwaja.

Cameron Green and Ben Stokes have been chosen as the all-rounders in our fantasy team. Nathan Lyon, Pat Cummins, James Anderson, and Stuart Broad are the bowlers on the team.

We have chosen James Anderson as the captain and Steve Smith as the vice captain in our dream 11 team for tomorrow’s match.

Full Team: Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Steve Smith (vc), Usman Khwaja, Harry Brook, Cameron Green, Ben Stokes, James Anderson (c), Pat Cummins, Stuart Broad, and Nathan Lyon

Prediction

We think the England team is going to put on a great show at the Lord’s stadium, make a roaring comeback in the series, and equalise it at 1-1. The highest run-scorer in the match is predicted to be Steve Smith, whereas James Anderson is predicted to be the highest wicket-taker.
