Neeru Dhanda Journey begins on the banks of a Talaab (pond) close to their home where she explained “My Uncle Took me to Pond and asked me to shoot a small sheet of Tin, I also told myself that let me see what I can do and Eventually I passed the test”

She was later inspired by fellow cousin, Lakshya Sheoran to take up this sport more professionally, after later won silver medal in 2019.

She later moved to Bhopal as Madhya Pradesh Shooting academy, offered free guns to their trainees.

In order to get that she had to prove she could shoot.

Uncle Somveer, Lakshya Father and former Wrestling Champion handed her gun to shoot near ponds, they said it was one of the biggest decision they have made in life.

Also credit should be given to Lakshya Sheoran for helping her out with Guns ” We neither had money nor the resource for this sport. Lakshya Helped arrange everything for us. My Daughter even practice with his rifle. His family related to us. Today after witnessing what my daughter has achieved. My Heart is filled with happiness” he said.

She had to face extreme hardships and her father recalled selling buffalo and milk to keep her dream alive.

Her father is extremely proud, and revealed that if given a chance god gave him another daughter in that case he would have wanted her too to represent National side.

Neeru wants to build Good House for her family and start her own family later.
