WPL 2023 Tickets : Women to get free entry while 100 Rupees is what Men will have to pay!

The wait is almost over. After the success of IPL Women’s T20 challenge, the inaugural and historic Women’s Premier League season 1 begins in 3 days time from 4th march onwards. Women’s cricket in India have gone from strength to strength in the last few months.

First the success of India in U-19 Women’s T20 World cup 2023 at South Africa which was India’s first ever World cup win in any women’s category. Then the announcement of the WPL and its auction. Another major development could have taken place if India Women had won the senior Women’s T20 World cup but a semi-final defeat to Australia means there is a lot of work needed to be done.

But with the invention of WPL, the level of women’s cricket in India will certainly go high and the influx of renowned foreign players will be beneficial for Indian cricket in the years to come. Meanwhile, in a recent development, the BCCI earlier today announced prices of tickets for the WPL scheduled to start from 4th march with Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians women locking horns for the opening fixture.

The 22-match tournament’s tickets have been released in Bookmyshow website and app and the BCCI have applied a very smart tactic to bring in more and more viewers inside the stadiums. Women will be able to visit WPL games at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium for free while Men will have to pay as much as 100 Rupees or 400 Rupees.

The BCCI also announced line-up for the WPL opening ceremony which will feature Bollywood actors like Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani and Punjabi music star AP Dhillon.
