NBA: Lakers beat Nuggets 126-114 in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals

Anthony Davis started his first game of Western Conference finals with 37 points and 10 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 126-114 in game one of the NBA’s western conference finals.

Too easy for the Lakers’ defense to hold back the Nuggets one-two playmaker Jokic and Murray, never letting Denver’s offense on target after the first quarter.

It resulted in a 126-114 Lakers’ win where the Lakers led by more than 30 at one point and Denver was same in the second half. The Lakers now heading in game 2 on Sunday with 1-0 lead in WCF.

“Even in that first quarter, we didn’t guard anybody… Nuggets coach Mike Malone said, trying to target his team’s troubles in Game 1. “There was little defense.”

Lakers went on a 19-3 run from the early in the second half, never looked down from there. For Los Angeles, LeBron James had 15 points and 12 assists, Davis scored 37 points.

Denver had 21 points apiece from Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. had 14, and the game was such done for nuggets that by the end of early 4th quarter.

Denver needs to examine this a game spent to learn more about lakers and how they will adjust their gameplay rest of the series and same for the Lakers need to look back on that Nuggets team, that has come back twice from 3-1 lead in playoff series already, the Nuggets learn from their mistakes and improve.

But the Lakers could not have asked for a better start for Western Conference Finals.
