List of the Indian batters with over 10,000 runs in the ODI Cricket

You can see the names of the batsmen from India who have got more than 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. Even though time has changed, the toughness and the class of the ODI game remains the same. It was Sachin Tendulkar who became the first batter to score 10,000 runs, but later on, many Indian batters followed him with their class performance.

Sachin Tendulkar

It was on March 31, 2001, when Sachin Tendulkar became the first batter on the planet to score 10,000 ODI runs. He successfully achieved this milestone only in the 266th match against Australia. Sachin even scored a brilliant century in the same match.

Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly was definitely the best ODI batter from 1996 to 2000. He was the only 2nd Indian batter to achieve the milestone of 10,000 ODI runs. In the same series, even Sanath Jayasuriya scored 10,000 runs after Ganguly. However, Ganguly was much faster than his opponent.

Rahul Dravid

Dravid was known as “The Wall” in world cricket. He was able to get to the 10,000 runs mark in 287 innings. He batted under the shadow of Sachin and Sourav in the ODIs and usually played a supporting role. But there were times when he was as destructive as anyone.

MS Dhoni

He has been the best wicketkeeper batter for India to date. He reached the milestone of 10,000 ODI runs in 320 matches. He batted down the order, in most of the matches, and that is the reason it took him more matches.

Virat Kohli

King Kohli is the fastest to reach the milestone of 10,000 runs till now. He reached this milestone only in 205 runs. This is truly phenomenal because he is the fastest by a huge margin.

Now Rohit Sharma is going to be the next member of this club.
