The 42-year-old has played in several T20 tournaments around the world, including The Hundred, Pakistan Super League, and Big Bash League. He has taken 469 wickets in 378 T20s so far, and he is expected to show his skills in the upcoming tournament.

On the other hand, Rayudu recently retired from the IPL ahead of the tournament final, where the Super Kings beat the Gujarat Titans by five wickets in a thriller to lift their fifth IPL trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India proposed a one-year cooling-off period for retired players before they can participate in overseas T20 leagues, which led to Rayudu withdrawing from the Major League Cricket. A policy regarding overseas T20 league participation will be created by the BCCI.

The Texas Super Kings squad includes international players such as Faf du Plessis, Devon Conway, and Dwayne Bravo, as well as draft players like Rusty Theron and Cameron Stevenson. The team is expected to put up a good show in the Major League Cricket, and fans are excited to see Tahir in action.
