The final of the Global T20 Canada 2023 was certainly a cracker. Fans were able to see the match end with a last-ball six. This is truly a magnificent way to finish the tournament. The match between the Surrey Jaguars and Montreal Tigers was truly a great one. Both the teams were equally good, and it was the last ball of the match that decided the winner of the tournament.

Surrey Jaguars innings
- Surrey Jaguars started off well in the first innings. They got a slow and steady start, of 35 runs. At the team score of 35 Jaguars, lost their first wicket, which was of Mohammad Haris. He played a fine innings of 23 off 22 balls. It was slow and steady to keep the score moving.
- However, Jatinder Singh was falling short of partners on the other end. He was able to make small partnerships with Litton Das, and Iftikhar Ahmed.
- The best and fastest partnership happened between Ayaan Khan and Mohammad Haris. They both were able to take the team score from 85 to 121, in less than 5 overs.
- Even after pushing the score in the death overs, the final total was only 130 runs.
Montreal Tigers Innings
- The openers had the job of giving a good start in the finals because that’ll set the tone of the match. Even after that, the first wicket fell for a Duck.
- The score was 0-1. Chris Lynn and Srimantha Wijeratne ensured to have a good partnership. Then I took the score to 35.
- Lynn stood at one end and kept on rotating the strike. By the time he got out, the team’s score was 60.
- Soon, Sherfane Rutherford took the responsibility to finish the game.
At the end when the team needed some quick runs, Andre Russell came up and did the job for the team. On the last ball when 2 runs were needed, he went on to hit a six, to make his team win the tournament.
