WI vs SCO: Brandon McMullen

Brandon McMullen Does Everything Right in WI vs SCO

During the 1970s and 1980s, someone would have said that a day will come when West Indies will not be able to qualify for the World Cup tournament. Then nobody would have believed that statement. However, that has happened for this year’s world cup. That is because of the match that West Indies lost against Scotland. There is no doubt about the fact, that Scotland was certainly a great bowling unit in this qualifier match.

The outstanding performance of McMullen

There is no doubt about the fact that the performance that was given by Brandon Mcmullen was certainly extraordinary. He went on to make his contribution not only by bat but even by bowling. There is no doubt, that opening partnership is certainly a key element. Once you have got the openers, then you’ll easily be able to get the rest of the wickets. Mcmullen not only got the openers but took the wickets of the top three batters.

That was certainly a big blow for the West Indies, and after that, they were not able to recover from the loss. In the whole inning, they struggled, and in the end, they were able to score only 181 runs in 43.5 overs.

As a batter also Mcmullen gave a brilliant performance. He scored 69 runs, that included 8 fours and a six. At the same time, he ensured that he keeps on rotating the strike.

Mcmullen literally acted as a one-man army in the match. Without his contribution, It would have been very tough for Scotland to win the match, and defeat one of the best teams of the tournament.
