There is no dearth of all-round talent when it comes to IPL. The tournament is blessed with many great cricketers who are equally good in both batting and bowling. They are the ones who often claim the ‘most valuable player’ prize.

#1 Andre Russell (Kolkata Knight Riders)

There can be no debate regarding the first name on the list of top five all-rounders. Andre Russell is arguably the most destructive batsman in the shortest format of the game. He is also a good bowler who can come in handy at the death. To top it all off, he is a terrific fielder.

Russell has been a regular name in the KKR team sheet since the 2015 edition. He has been amazing in everything he has tried so far. Russell has a healthy average of over 30, but more than that, he has a mind-boggling strike rate of nearly 190. He has also picked up 55 wickets so far, and has conceded runs at an economy rate of under 9 runs per over. Russell has 21 catches to his name.”

#3 Sunil Narine (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Best All-Rounders in IPL

Just like Russell, Narine has been an important member of the KKR side over the years. But unlike his Caribbean partner, Narine wasn’t always an all-rounder. He was predominantly a bowler. Narine was the main driving force behind KKR’s triumphs in 2012 and 2014. But after remodelling his bowling action, Narine found himself a bit less effective with the ball.

That’s when he started opening the innings. He has done a great job in the role of a pinch-hitter. He has an average of almost 20, and a strike rate of over 165. He is very economical with the ball, and has an economy rate of under 7 runs per over. The West Indian spinner has taken 122 wickets in 110 games.
