The recently concluded Olympics 2020 has been the most successful campaign for India so far where India managed to win 7 medals including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 Bronze, and the way we celebrated Neeraj Chopra gold medal is good but we don’t need to forget that they must be granted personal space so that they can spent time with their family and practice for future events too.
Neeraj Chopra recently said in one of the media outlets that the moment I am landed in India I am constantly attending functions but we need to understand that we have the potential to win more gold medals in future Olympics. He also added that his practice has been hampered now as he is constantly attending functions and he is ill now so he will be taking part in all those events that will start next year and will be skipping all the events in 2021.
Also Olympic Silver medalist Ravi Kumar Dahiya, stated that he will not be taking part in the upcoming Wrestling Championships as he is not prepared and he believes that without preparation taking part in wrestling events will not help him to do well in the upcoming marquee event.
Winning a gold medal in Olympics 2020 by Neeraj Chopra it’s a big thing for us and also this medal is extra special as this is the first medal for India in Olympics till date and too celebrate it is good thing but celebrating extra in these times of pandemic where players might get exposed to COVID-19 and that would easily hamper their preparation for future.
It is important to celebrate our Olympians but do grant personal space them so that they can win future events too so that they can bring laurels for the country.
