IPL 2022: 10 best all round performance from players across all franchise in IPL history

Let’s talk about the top 10 all-around performances till now in IPL History.

Yuvraj Singh (RCB)

In 2014 after becoming the highest-paid player ever, we got a chance to witness the heroics of India’s biggest hitter Yuvraj Singh, as he scored 83 runs off just 38 deliveries with 7 sixes in his innings. His terrific innings helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to put a total of 191 on the board for Rajasthan Royals. In that match, he didn’t only perform well with the bat but also with the ball as he took 4 crucial wickets of Shane Watson, Karun Nair, Sanju Samson, and Stuart Binny. The heroic innings from Yuvraj Singh ended up on the losing side as they failed to defend 191.

 

Ravindra Jadeja (CSK)

Ravindra Jadeja doesn’t get too many opportunities to bat for Chennai Super Kings, but when he does get a chance he makes it count every time he comes to bat. In 2012, Jadeja showed one of his best all-round performances in IPL as he scored 48 runs off 29 balls including 3 sixes and 3 fours. Jadeja’s innings helped Chennai Super Kings to set a total of 194 runs for Deccan Chargers. Jadeja not only performed with the bat but he also showed his balling class as he took a five-wicket haul in his four-over spell while defending 194 runs, his five-wicket haul helped Chennai to win the match with a margin of 75 runs.

 

Shane Watson (RR)

One of the best all-rounders that Rajasthan Royals ever had, played a terrific knock of 89* against Mumbai Indians in 2011 while chasing a target of 134 runs. He also took 3 wickets in his four-over spell conceding just 19 runs and taking important wickets of Kieron Pollard, Ambati Rayudu, and Tirumalasetti Suman.

 

Rashid Khan (SRH)

The second qualifier match of the 2018 IPL season was completely dominated by Afghanistan’s best spinner Rashid Khan as he scored 34* off just 10 deliveries including 4 sixes and 2 fours, he came to bat in the 18th over and smashed a match-winning 34 runs which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to put a total of 178 runs on the board for Kolkata Knight Riders. His batting performance was not enough for him to prove his worth so he took 3 crucial wickets of Andre Russell, Chris Lynn, and Robin Uthappa in his four-over spell. He finished his spell with 3-19 and helped Hyderabad to reach the finals.

 

Kieron Pollard (MI)

In 2012 KP, gave his best all-around performance for the Mumbai Indians when he scored 64 runs against Rajasthan Royals and also took 4 wickets in his spell for 44 runs, In his innings of 64 runs he smashed 4 sixes and 4 fours, and also took four wickets including well set Ajinkya Rahane, Ashok Maneria, Ankeet Chavan, and Amit Singh.

One of the best all-rounders that the world has ever seen played his best IPL match as an all-rounder in 2013 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, when he scored 41 runs off 29 balls including 6 fours, and he also took 3 wickets in his spell by just giving away 13 runs, in his spell he took important wickets of Parthiv Patel, Cameron White, Thisara Perera.

 

JP Duminy (DD)

JP Duminy 2015 played one of his best matches as an all-rounder against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he scored 54 runs of 41 balls including 5 fours and 2 sixes which helped Delhi Daredevils to score a total of 168 runs on board. While defending the total he also took 4 wickets in 3 over’s giving away just 17 runs, he took four big wickets of David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravi Bopara, and Eion Morgan.

 

Sam Curran (PK)

In 2019, Sam Curran played his best IPL innings where he smashed a quick 20 runs off 10 balls including 3 fours and 1 six, against Delhi Capitals, and while defending 167 runs he took 4 wickets in 2.2 over’s by giving away just 11 runs, he took wickets including a hat–a trick of Collin Ingram, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, and Sandeep Lamichhane.
