IPL 2022: Matheesha Pathirana to join as Adam Milne’s replacement for CSK in the upcoming matches

It seems that the ongoing edition of IPL is no mood to spare CSK as their poor performance in first six match of cash rich league where they have earned only one victory and lost five and desperately is in need of a victory under their belt to stay in contention ahead of their upcoming clash against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians.

But considering the horrible run Mumbai too had in the ongoing edition their next match against CSK could be called as “The Clash of the Titians” where it is mandatory for these two teams to win next game against each other. 

But the problems in CSK line-up may hinder their path of success as Adam Milne who has been ruled out from the marquee event after the Kiwi pacer sustained hamstring injury.

However, the good news is Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana  will be joining CSK soon as replacement of Milne.

Stressing more on the young 19 year old Sri Lankan pacer who played Under 19 World Cup for Sri Lanka in the year 2020 and 2022 editions if given a chance in the playing X1 would not be an easy task for him as he would be replacing Milne who played only one match for the yellow army this season where he went wicketless and conceded 19 runs in his quota of 2.3 overs.

With Deeepak Chahar, their pace spearhead injured and ruled out from the competition without playing single game in the event and batting letting them down on the crunch moments of the game has made pathway difficult for CSK in coming matches.

Matheesha Pathirana will be joining the CSK bubble soon after serving the mandatory quarantine protocol. 

Jadeja as captain looked clueless at times and it is very difficult to predict in certain matches that how is the captain is it Dhoni or Jadeja? We hope these two powerhouse teams MI and CSK come out of their horrible form in the ongoing edition of IPL and start winning matches otherwise with the way other team is catching up it would be difficult for them to reach in the playoffs.
