A team boasting of top-notch raiders and quality defenders, Patna Pirates have been the only side to have the won the title three times in the league so far. Having been to the semi-finals in the first two seasons, Patna Pirates registered three consecutive wins in Pro Kabaddi Season 3, 4 and 5.
However, Pardeep Narwal led side’s shocking exit in the league stage in Pro Kabaddi Season 6 led to a lot of criticism. They will look to bounce back and get back to winning ways ahead of Pro Kabaddi Season 7.
Here’s a look at the predicted playing seven for Patna Pirates in their first game against Bengaluru Bulls:
#1 Pardeep Narwal (Center)

Patna Pirates skipper Pardeep Narwal has been on a record-breaking spree ever since he made his debut in Pro Kabaddi League. One of the best raiders of all time in the league, Pardeep Narwal has led his side to victory in three Pro Kabaddi Seasons. Pardeep Narwal is, in fact, the only player in the league to be adjudged the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League’s Most Valuable Player for two consecutive seasons (Season 4 and Season 5). He will look to add one more trophy to his cabinet, come Pro Kabaddi Season 7.
#2 Jang Kun Lee (Left In)

Patna Pirates have started the campaign on the right note, having bought South Korean raider Jang Kun Lee in the auction for Rs. 40 Lakhs. Jang Kun Lee will provide strength in the raiding department and take the pressure off Pardeep. Having played for Bengal Warriors for six seasons, Jang Kun Lee will play for Patna Pirates in Pro Kabaddi League Season 7.
Till now, Jang Kun Lee has played as many as 90 matches, earning 433 points, including 411 raid points and 22 tackle points.
#3 Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou (Right In)
Position: Raider (Right in)
Bringing Iranian raider Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou into the side has been another smart move for Patna Pirates. He is likely to play as Right-In in Pro Kabaddi Season 7. The Iranian raider displayed a masterclass performance during the 2018 Asian Games. He is likely to give another dimension to the Pirates’ raiding attack.
#4 Neeraj Kumar (Right Cover)
Position: Defender
Defender Neeraj Kumar will be a nice choice for Patna Pirates to have in the playing seven, at right cover, against Bengaluru Bulls on 20th July. Neeraj played 17 matches for Haryana Steelers in Pro Kabaddi Season 5, accumulating as many as 13 tackle points, including one super tackle.
#5 Vikas Jaglan (Left Cover)
Position: Defender
Bought in Pro Kabaddi Season 5, Vikas Jaglan has now become a valuable player for Patna pirates in the Pro Kabaddi League. Patna all-rounder has played as many as 27 matches in the league so far, collecting 50 points which include 31 raid points and 19 tackle points.
#6 Jawahar Dagar (Right Corner)
Position: Defender
Having played for Patna Pirates for three seasons now, Jawahar Dagar has cemented his position in the side. The defender impressed everyone with his quick moves and strong blocks in Pro Kabaddi Season 6. Jawahar took part in 15 matches, earning 23 points for his team. He claimed 3 super tackles and two high 5s.
#7 Surender Nada (Left Corner)
Position: Defender (Left-Corner)
Unarguably, one of the best-left corner defenders, Surender Nada has made a name for himself in Pro Kabaddi League. Surender Nada played an instrumental role in helping U Mumba clinch Pro Kabaddi League title in Season 2. The Indian Kabaddi team defender is, in fact, the second-most successful defender in VIVO Pro Kabaddi, accumulating as many as 222 tackle points in the league.
Surender Nada will make his debut for Patna Pirates in the 7th season of Pro Kabaddi League.
