Women’s Premier League 2023: Top 5 overseas players for Up Warriorz to watch out for WPL 2023

Women’s cricket is a popular and growing sport around the world. It has gained popularity and recognition in recent years due to the efforts of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and individual national cricket boards to promote and develop women’s cricket.

Overseas strength of UP warriorz is selected and now they are training ahead of the tournament. The squad consist of 18 players- Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, Devika Vaidya, Tahlia Mcgrath, Shabnim Ismail, Grace Harris, Alyssa Healy, Anjali Sarvani, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shweta Sehrawat, Kiran Navgire, Lauren Bell, Laxmi Yadav, Parshavi Chopra, S. Yashasri, Simran Shaikh.

*Allysa Healy– Healy has been one of the most consistent performers for Australia in all formats of the game. She has played a crucial role in the team’s success in major tournaments such as the Women’s T20 World Cup and the Women’s Ashes. In the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup, Healy was named the Player of the Tournament for her outstanding performances with the bat.

In domestic cricket, Healy has represented New South Wales in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) and the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). She has been a vital member of both teams and has played a significant role in their success.

*Sophie Ecclestone -Ecclestone made her debut for the England women’s cricket team in June 2016, at the age of 17, in a T20 match against Pakistan. Sophie Ecclestone is a professional cricketer from England who currently plays as a left-arm spinner for the England women’s cricket team.

Ecclestone is known for her accurate bowling and has been praised for her ability to spin the ball both ways. Ecclestone has also played domestic cricket in England for Lancashire Thunder in the Women’s Cricket Super League (WCSL), where she was the leading wicket-taker in the 2019 season. She has also played for Perth Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) in Australia.

*Tahlia McGrath– Tahlia McGrath is an Australian cricketer who currently plays as an all-rounder for the Australian women’s cricket team.

McGrath made her debut for the Australian women’s cricket team in 2017, in a One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand. Since then, she has represented Australia in both ODI and T20 matches.

In domestic cricket in Australia, McGrath plays for the South Australian Scorpions in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) and the Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). She has been a consistent performer for both teams and has been named as the player of the match several times

*Grace Harris– She is a right-handed batter and a right-arm off-break bowler. Harris made her debut for the Queensland Fire in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) in 2009 at the age of 16.

Harris is known for her aggressive batting and we will be seeing her in th Inaugural season of WPL. She has also represented the Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) since its inception in 2015. In 2018, she scored the fastest century in the WBBL, off just 42 balls.

RCb fought hard to get harris services.She has represented the Australian Women’s Cricket Team in three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) so far.
