Why INR “7.09 crore” is trending in cricket on social media? Let’s find out in detail

Money in Cricket

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently shared news on their official social media handle regarding the women’s IPL media rights which have been acquired by Viacom 18 for INR 951 crores for the next five years starting from 2023–2027. This marks another milestone for women’s cricket.

This is a significant development for women’s cricket because the IPL’s entire season will help young players who will get experience playing under pressure.

The match value of each Women’s IPL game will be INR 7.09 crore and due to this reason this specific amount is trending on Twitter.

The way Indian cricket is now perceived has changed dramatically as a result of the Men’s IPL, and new Indian players have benefited greatly from this major tournament. This is a big improvement for women’s cricket.

The same is expected of the Women’s IPL as our female players require experience dressing alongside elite female athletes to advance in international cricket.

Officials from the BCCI have stated in past interviews that a full-fledged women’s IPL will be introduced starting in 2023.

In order for this procedure to go well, Argus Partners served as the legal counsel throughout.

The Women’s Big Bash League is the best domestic T20 league, but with the amount of money BCCI has, if they can draw large crowds to watch cricket matches, the future of the sport will be very different.

A league is definitely needed for Indian women’s cricket right now since it will give young star hitters a lot more confidence.
