Women’s IPL is all set to start in full fledge mode where it is expected six teams will be competing against for a month season.

This time BCCI is looking to organize this marquee event at grand scale so that it can ultimately benefit women’s cricket.

It is reported that base price for the inaugural edition of Women’s Indian Premier League has been divided into five distinct categories between the range of 10 Lakh to 50 Lakh.

It is also reported at different media sources, 26th January would be the deadline date for auction.

The capped players will have a base price – 30 Lakh,40 Lakh and 50 Lakh and uncapped cricketers will be kept into different category which will include- 10 Lakh and 20 Lakh.

A source close to BCCI functionary has informed five categories will be followed which also include overseas cricketers.

It is expected that full fledge edition of WIPL is set to be played in Maharashtra from March 6th t0 26th 2023.

“BCCI will only deal directly with the State Associations and at no time will have any communication with player agents or managers. Any failure by a player to abide by this condition will (unless BCCI in its sole discretion decides otherwise) result in the player’s name being withdrawn with immediate effect from the Auction Register and/or Auction List (as appropriate),” states the directive.

Indian women players will be benefitted immensely from the expertise of overseas players from Australia and England which will help the former from latter to handle the pressure situations.
