India’s team for all three formats against New Zealand and Australia was recently released by the selection committee.
Sanju Samson and Sarfaraz Khan, among other players, were excluded by the BCCI selection committee.
Fans have criticised the absence of both of these players, but Sarfaraz Khan has received the most attention due to his continuous performance in domestic cricket but lack of consideration from selectors.
In first-class cricket, Sarfaraz Ahmed has an astounding average of 80.47 and has emerged as one of the top batters in the Ranji Trophy.
The question arises that Mumbai batter is still not able to find his squad in the national side.
Let me share Twitter reactions of few Journalist and fans in the form of description below:
If Surya Kumar Yadav can get picked to the Indian Test squad based on his recent T20I performances, then WHY not Sarfaraz Khan on his recent first-class performances in domestic games?
2019/20: 928 @ 154.66
2021/22: 982 @ 122.75

We're finished as cricketing nation if SKY is getting selected ahead of #Sarfaraz khan in test. Surya gets chance in Test, who is not even getting chance in ODI Playing 11. Shame on you #BCCISelectionCommittee & #Chetansharma pic.twitter.com/YWCnXtJfu1

Selecting suryakumar yadav ahead of sarfaraz Khan in test team shows the value of domestic tournaments…one is scoring for fun in red ball while one in T20Is .. respect to selectors @BCCI @surya_14kumar #sarfaraz #prithiviShaw

It is difficult to understand why he was left out of the team because he is a gifted batter who has consistently scored for Willow, so there must be a good explanation.
India’s next opponents will be New Zealand and Australia. The Men in Blue must win all four games in this series to guarantee their place in the World Test Championship Finals 2023. Australia will present the largest challenge for India.
The World Tennis Championship final match will take place in June 2023, and Australia is on the verge of qualifying as the first finalist while India and South Africa square off for the second finalist spot.
Some of the notable changes which seems surprising is inclusion of Surya Kumar Yadav in Test format and not incluing Sanju in any of the format.
The reason why Sanju wasn’t picked for the upcoming series lacks clarity.
