JAM vs SLZ Dream11 Prediction

JAM vs SLZ Match Prediction: Jamaica Tallawahs and St. Lucia Zouks will square off in the third match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Both teams are coming on the back of a poor run in CPL 2019, where a highly touted Jamaica side finished bottom of the pile, while St. Lucia Zouks did just a bit better, finishing a place above, on 5th in the table.

Jamaica Tallawahs have all the makings of a champion team and look a solid outfit. Wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips was the top run-getter for his side, and fourth overall with 374 runs in the previous edition, and would look to carry his form. The likes of Chadwick Walton at the top and presence of Asif Ali, Andre Russell, Rovman Powell and Carlos Brathwaite in the middle, and the lower middle order will make for a solid batting unit. The team also boasts of two of the specialist T20 spinners in Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Sandeep Lamichhane, while Fidel Edwards and Oshane Thomas will add much-needed pace. The team looks balanced and could set the stage on fire.

St. Lucia Zouks were dealt an early blow as Chris Gayle opted out of CPL 2020 citing personal reasons. The Zouks still seems to be a decent outfit, who can spring a surprise on their day. Led by Darren Sammy, the team has a T20 specialist in Mohammad Nabi, ably supported by fellow Afghanistan player Najibullah Zadran, Andre Fletcher, Kesrick Williams, and chinaman Zahir Khan. Rahkeem Cornwall would be a key player for the side in either department. The Zouks won 3 matches in the last season, two of which came against Tallawahs, and they would be looking to keep the run going.

JAM vs SLZ Key Players:
– Jamaica Tallawahs
Glenn Phillips: The swashbuckling opener was the star performer for his side in the 2019 edition, where he top-scored with 374 runs at a brisk pace. He will once again be the danger man at the top for the Tallwahs.
Andre Russell: Arguably the best all-rounder in T20 cricket, Andre Russell will be itching to get back on the field and hit some lusty blows. In what he claimed would be his last season with the Tallawahs, the star all-rounder would be looking to leave on a high. The 32-year old has played 57 matches in CPL history and has 1,109 runs with the highest score of 121*. He averages near 31 and has hit more sixes (87) than fours (80). He also has 55 wickets to his name at an average of 24.3 and strike rate of 17.2.
Mujeeb Ur Rehman: The Afghanistan spinner is a specialist T20 bowler and can bowl in the powerplay without shedding too many runs, and picking up crucial wickets. He has 25 wickets in 19 games, which speak highly of his calibre.

– St. Lucia Zouks
Mohammad Nabi: The Afghanistan all-rounder will be the most crucial player for the Zouks this season. Capable of winning the game with either the bat or ball in hand, Nabi will look to get Zouks going. The experienced pro got 8 wickets and scored 115 runs in the 8 matches he played in the IPL in 2019. He has 69 wickets and over 1000 runs in T20Is.
Andre Fletcher: The hard-hitting opener was the second-highest scorer for his side last season with 184 runs. He has been a consistent player in the T20 format and will need to come good against the strong Tallawahs setup.
Kesrick Williams: A street-smart bowler with a number of variations up his sleeve, Williams was the highest wicket-taker for his side with 12 wickets in 9 matches, and will need to step up against a dangerous looking Tallawahs side.

JAM vs SLZ Match Match Prediction (Head to Head)
The head to head record between Jamaica Tallawahs and St. Lucia Zouks is tilted in favour of the Tallawahs who have won 8 of the 13 games between the 2 sides, however, St. Lucia Zouks won both games against the Tallawahs in the 2019 edition of CPL. Having said that, Jamaica Tallwahs look strong favourites this time around.
