Jamaica Tallawahs

One of the most formidable sides in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Jamaica Tallawahs is always the team to watch out for. The team is loaded with match-winners and year after year they prove why they are worthy of being retained in the squad. Like Warriors, the Tallawahs has also been playing the tournament since 2013. The side has the achievement of winning the inaugural CPL that happened in 2013 and since then, they have not looked back.

Tallawahs started their CPL journey with a super-impressive performance in the inaugural edition that took them into the finals. The side won 5 out their 7 group games and ended up claiming the second sport at the points table. They defeated Barbados Tridents in the semi-final to setup a mouthwatering finale with the Warriors. The final turned out to be a one-sided affair as Tallawahs won the game by 7 wickets and became the first team to win the coveted trophy.

The 2013 and 2014 editions were also good for the franchise as both the times they qualified for the semi-finals. However, they could not get through to the finals in both the seasons. But, their moment of glory came in 2016 when they won the trophy once again and became the first team to get their hands on the trophy twice.

Both the times that the Tallawahs won the league, the team was being led by Chris Gayle. But this time, the side will be led by Rovman Powell. Powell would be looking to lead the side from the front and take the team to the top of the table as Gayle did during his leadership days.

Last year, they finished at 4th and they will be hoping to clinch their third title this time around and become only the second team to win the league more than two times.
