All Seasons Player of the Tournament in the Indian Premier League

A player in the tournament title is proof that that particular individual went on to make a great contribution. Whether bowlers or batsmen, there are several cricketers who have played really well to make a contribution. It is not necessary that a player in the tournament is going to be from the team that won the tournament. He can also be selected from the other teams.

 List of the players of the tournaments in the IPL

 You can see the list of the players of the tournament in the history of the IPL below. It all started with  Shane Watson, and recently Shubman Gill has won it. Most of these winners went on to become great servants of the game in the later years.

 Shane Watson (2008)

 Shane Watson gave one of the best-ever all-around performances in the history of the IPL. He went on to score 450+ runs and took 17 wickets for his team.

 Adam Gilchrist (2009)

 The Deccan Chargers opening batsman went on to score 495 runs. That made him win the award of the man of the tournament for the contribution he made.

 Sachin Tendulkar (2010)

In 2010, the man who needs no introduction won the title. That is none other than the great Sachin Tendulkar. He went on to score 618 runs and won the title.

 Chris Gayle (2011)

Chris Gayle went on to score 608 runs and even took 8 wickets. This was truly a phenomenal all-round performance that made him win the Player of the Tournament award.

 Sunil Narine (2012)

Sunil Narine went on to take 24 wickets in the 2012 season of the IPL. That is truly magnificent. He was certainly the bowler to look out for a year.

The players who went on to win the Player of the Tournament title, later on are Shane Watson (2013), Glenn Maxwell (2014), Andre Rusell (2015), Virat Kohli (2016), Ben Stokes (2017), Sunil Narine (2018), Andre Rusell (2019), Jofra Archer (2020), Harshal Patel (2021), Jos Buttler (2022), and Shubman Gill (2023).
