This news came out on August 28, just after Fnatic won against Excel Esports, earning a place in Worlds 2023. Fnatic said Oscarinin hurt his hand while playing against Excel. He needs surgery, so he can’t play against Team BDS on September 2nd.

Fnatic had to ask their ex-top laner, Wunder, to play because of what happened. They’re facing Team BDS, and the winner gets to play in Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage and the final weekend of the 2023 LEC Season Finals in France. The loser goes to Worlds 2023 Qualifying Series instead.

This is a high-pressure situation, but Wunder is a good choice. He’s won a lot in the LEC and even did well internationally with G2 Esports.

Wunder left Fnatic in May because the team was doing badly. They brought in Oscarinin and later Noah and Trymbi to replace him.

Fnatic Enlists Former Star Wunder for Decisive Match in 2023 LEC Season

Due to a series of events, Fnatic found themselves in a tough spot and had to bring back their former top laner, Wunder, for an important match against Team BDS. The outcome of this match will determine which team gets to advance to the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage and the final weekend of the 2023 LEC Season Finals in Montpellier, France. Unfortunately, the team that loses won’t make it to the final weekend and will instead have to compete in the Worlds 2023 Qualifying Series.

This situation is undoubtedly stressful, but if anyone can handle it, it’s Wunder. The experienced player from Denmark has a collection of LEC championship trophies under his belt. Notably, he even clinched victory at the Mid-Season Invitational in 2019 and made it to the World Championship finals that same year as a part of G2 Esports.

Wunder had parted ways with Fnatic on May 12, following a challenging first half of the year that prompted the team to make significant changes. This was when Oscarinin came in to replace him, and in June, Noah and Trymbi also joined the roster.

Now, the spotlight is back on Wunder as he steps in to help Fnatic in this crucial match. Both Fnatic and Wunder have a lot to prove, and the League of Legends community will be watching closely to see how this unexpected turn of events plays out on the competitive stage.
