Watch : A video of SRH Fans taunt “Kohli-Kohli” to Gautam Gambhir! The chants even halted the game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants’ Indian Premier League encounter on Saturday had to be called off due to disorderly behaviour among the crowds immediately after a contentious “no-ball” decision. The on-field umpires Akshay Totre, J Madangopal, and TV umpire Yeshwant Barde received criticism from SRH fans when a ‘no-ball’ DRS decision in the final over ultimately went against the visiting team.

Abdul Samad received a delivery from Avesh Khan that appeared to be a beamer, but Totre did not rule it a no-ball. SRH requested a DRS, and to their dread, Barde also decided in the bowling team’s advantage.

The LSG coach in charge Andy Flower and mentoring Gautam Gambhir, together alongside other members of the team in the sidelines, were abruptly observed standing inside of the boundary line and gesturing towards the stands, that are directly behind the playing area, as Klaasen yelled at the on-field umpires.

As an effort to agitate Gambhir about his altercation with ex India captain Virat Kohli a few weeks ago, the audience began to yell “Kohli Kohli” collectively as if somebody was throwing anything. As soon as the play began, Klaasen bottomed out at long-on because the unwelcome interruption caused him to lose focus. During the mid-innings quick talk with media outlets, he wasn’t concealing his wrath.

“Disappointed with the crowd to be honest, that’s not what you want. That also broke the momentum, not great umpiring either. The wicket changed quickly in the middle. There was some spin and decent amount of bounce, there were a few rippers by Krunal – Markram and Phillips’ wicket, that broke the momentum.” – Heinrich klaasen said

It was difficult to play the harder length balls. Need to bowl length and slower ones into the wicket, can’t be too full. It’s not a bad wicket, but it’s a bit slow. Can use the natural variations. I reckon if the spinners can bowl quickly into the wicket, the natural variations can take over.” Heinrich klaasen concluded.Â
