Oscar Piastri Becomes Multiple Race Winner post victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix 2025
The Formula 1 Season 2025-26 has proved to be a roller-coaster already, with the racing calendar commencing only recently. Oscar Piastri, the Australian driver advances to a controlled victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix, held on April 13, Sunday.
With this win, he becomes the first multiple race winner of the 2025 season, by taking a celebratory victory in a cool and collected fashion. His position to seal P1 on his 50th race in the Formula 1 as well as marking McLaren’s first triumph in Sakhir, Bahrain will remain etched in history for a long time. This dominant win places him just three points behind teammate Lando Norris in the F1 standings currently.
Race driver George Russell finished at P2, while McLaren driver Lando Norris for P2 secured the third position. Oscar celebrated his 50th Formula One race with a pole-to-flag win that catapulted his standing at an elevated level, bringing a lot of excitement and cheer for the McLaren fans.
Since the first Grand Prix held in Sakhir in 2004, McLaren had never won at the desert circuit that hosts a home race for the British team’s biggest shareholder. Another milestone achievement that was added to Piastri’s cap was him becoming the new season’s first repeat winner in four races.

Having won the Chinese Grand Prix in March a few weeks back, the title clinched at Bahrain event has pushed Norris on 77 points, Piastri at 74 and McLaren’s total points at 151 in the constructors’ standings.
After making a strong start from the pole position, despite a close call from fellow competitor George Russell when the Mercedes driver locked up into Turn 1, Piastri created a solid lead for himself throughout the laps that followed.
Piastri’s position at one point possibly looked under threat when a safety car had emerged, but the 24-year-old made a clean getaway at the restart and went on to rebuild a gap in the laps that followed, eventually crossing the line with a 15-second lead. Charles Leclerc had to settle for fourth, while fellow Ferrari mate and racer Lewis Hamilton stood sharp at fifth. For Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, it was his best finish with Ferrari so far, which he joined this season.

Max Verstappen snatched sixth place in the final moments on what had been a tough evening for the Red Bull man, having experienced issues at both of his pit stops.
Oscar Piastri’s flawless victory was the fourth in his career so far, and with the gap built during the race, he kept the jockeying for position to those behind him. It has certainly added to his win trajectory and made his career graph soar high, on a difficult circuit to race on.
The Formula 1 racers will compete next at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on April 20, Sunday
