Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023: Why India is not sleeping giant anymore in this popular game?

The next Hockey World Cup 2023 is scheduled to begin on January 13, 2022, with host India’s first match versus Spain falling on that day.

This is the fourth time that India will host this major event, and all of the games will take place at two different stadiums: Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela, which can hold 20,000 people, and Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, which can hold 16,000 people.

The positive results from the Tokyo Olympics 2020, when India played hockey to the limit to win the main event despite having no opportunity to do so, as well as their performances in bilateral series and other significant been outstanding.

Pr Sreejesh, Manpreet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Manvir Singh, and other players with a mix of youth and experience make up a superb squad. All of these players have shown amazing talents throughout the crucial moments of the game, which has enabled them to win.

India will be captained by Harmanpreet Singh in the forthcoming major competition, and the team will primarily rely on him in the penalty corner.
