PR Sreejesh

Pr Sreejesh, the great goalie for India, made some superb stops during the recently finished Tokyo Olympics 2020, which saw India win a bronze medal after a 41-year absence.

There is much debate on who will play in the starting X1 for the Men’s Hockey World Cup final, Krishan Bahadur or him.

Speaking to several media sites, he underlined that this time around, results matter more to him than just being a member of the starting lineup. As he is competing in his fourth and most likely final world cup, helping the team succeed is what he is most looking forward to this year.

The Indian team has recently exceeded supporters’ expectations, and as a result, they have been put in a challenging group, making it difficult for them to get past the league round.

It will be intriguing to watch if India can win their second Hockey World Cup, drawing inspiration from the 1975 triumph when India won the title for the first time under the guidance of Ajit Pal Singh. Sreejesh is enthusiastic about India’s chances in the forthcoming flagship tournament.

.Sreejesh made his Hockey World Cup debut in 2010 in a match against arch-opponents Pakistan in New Delhi. At the time, he was Adrian Dsouza’s backup goalkeeper, and he said it was an amazing experience to play against his rivals in front of a packed house and show off his talents at the table.
