COVID 19: KL Rahul auctions his cricket equipments to help vulnerable children

Star Indian batsman KL Rahul who garnered all huge praise last year due to his flamboyant batting skills is auctioning his World Cup bat and other batting kits to raise funds for the disadvantaged and vulnerable children in India.

On April 18, KL Rahul celebrated his 28th birthday by announcing that all the proceeds from the auction will go to the Aware Foundation, which works to provide dispossessed, disadvantaged and vulnerable children in India the right to education. 

“I have decided to donate my cricket pads, my gloves, helmets and some of my jerseys to our collaboration partner Bharat Army. They are going to auction these things out and the funds will go towards the Aware Foundation,” Rahul said.

The items put for the auction includes Rahul’s signed 2019 World Cup bat, Test, ODI and T20 jersey along with his batting gloves, helmet and pads.
“Go on check out the auction and show some love for me and the children and let’s stay strong together during this difficult time and all of us will come out of this stronger,” Rahul said. 

The Karnataka born batsman has become one of the pivotal players of the side in the last few months, and his generosity can be well-acknowledged by the fans during this time of crisis in the country. 

KL Rahul is the brand ambassador of the street-wear brand, GullyFastLive which would be auctioning his memoralias. Along with KL Rahul, the brand is also co-owned by Zeko Online and Cornerstone Sport.

So far, the coronavirus has affected over 24 lakhs people all over the World more than one lakh deaths worldwide. In India, more than 18,000 people have been infected with the virus with 550 reported deaths.
