IPL 13: KXIP’s Pooran optimistic of qualifying for play-offs

KXIP swashbuckling cricketer Nicholas Pooran has said that his team still has a chance to qualify for the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2020 playoffs this year.

In the last match they played against SRH in the ongoing edition of IPL 2020 they were defeated by SRH  from 69 runs and they are currently placed at the bottom of the points table after registering one win from six matches they have played till now in IPL 2020. Pooran still feels that we still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs if we start doing right things on the field and click as a unit in all departments on the match day.

“It’s not impossible (qualifying for the playoffs), everything is possible. I think we just have to continue doing right things. Be patient and enjoy each other success and just play aggressive cricket, and hopefully, things will go our way” said Pooran in a video posted on KXIP Twitter handle.

Pooran was the lone run-scorer for Punjab against SRH who scored 77 runs off 37 balls which includes five fours and seven glorious sixes. However, he was dejected that he was unable to take his team home in a crunch situation.

“I had to do something special for my team today but unfortunately it didn’t happen. I didn’t happen. I tried my best. We had a plan for entering the last five overs. It didn’t work out and it’s a tough one” said Pooran. KXIP will next horns with Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
