India is getting ready for the forthcoming 50 Over World Cup, which is set for later this year in October.
Experienced athletes like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others have been instructed to continue playing in the Test and ODI formats.
According to reports from several media outlets, BCCI is attempting to put together a young T20 team with the 2024 World Cup in mind.
The question is whether our young team can succeed in the T2o format if given the chance, especially in crucial games. As we saw in the most recent game against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, the majority of batters were helpless, but it was Kohli who stepped up and scored an unbeaten 82 runs to win the match.
It would be difficult for Men in Blue to defeat Pakistan under pressure if he was absent in T20 cricket.

Sunil Gavaskar, a former Indian batter and expert commentator, recently stated to a media outlet that the Men in Blue appear to have moved past experienced players like Kohli and Sharma. He also added that given that this year is an ODI World Cup year, you might see them taking a break from T20 cricket this year.

Virat Kohli’s outstanding batting effort helped India defeat Sri Lanka in a recent series, winning the three-match one-day international series 3-0.

Gill’s second ODI century served as Gill’s complement to Kohli, who was named player of the series.
Following a red ball series against Australia that will be a part of the World Test Championship finals, India will square off against New Zealand.
