India won the World cup by beating England in the final and the manner of the victory was really very dominating. The Blues performed comprehensively with the ball as well as the bat. First they bowled England out for 68 runs within 17 overs as every bowler picked up a wicket at least.
68 was never going to be even a near tough target for India to chase and the young girls defeated England by 7 wickets and 36 balls to spare. Indian batter Shweta Sehrawat ended the tournament as the highest run-getter with 297 runs under her belt while Shafali Verma was the 3rd highest scorer – 172.
Pacer Parshavi Chopra missed out from becoming the highest wicket taker by just 2 wickets but her efforts were really crucial too.
