Patna Pirates led by Pardeep Narwal were only 2 points short off a win in their first game against Bengaluru Bulls. It was a nail biting match, where defending champions Bengaluru Bulls came out on top.
Pardeep Narwal was the star of the show yet again for the side, earning a Super 10 in the very first game itself. Iranian pair of Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou Mahalli and Hadi Oshtorak got 3 tackle points each and would yet again hold the key in defence.
