Former Indian cricketer and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly can be cornered in the upcoming Board Annual General Meeting which is scheduled in a week’s time for endorsing fantasy gaming platforms My11Circle which is a rival competitor of board official sponsor dream11. However, Dream11 co-founder Harsh Jain stated that they have no issue with Ganguly endorsing their rival fantasy platform.

However former Indian skipper has been endorsing MY11Circle for last one year but BCCI’s official partner is DREAM 11 which is also a fantasy gaming platform.

According to BCCI rules “Any Administrators or their near relatives should not be associated with any company/organization that has entered into a commercial agreement with the BCCI. However, this will not apply to the smallholding of the shares in a public limited company. An administrator or his near relatives shall not be associated with a player management company or a player agent in any form either honorary or paid”.

“We are not concerned about Sourav Ganguly’s personal endorsements. This is BCCI’s internal matter and I have no further comment on this issue,” Jain, who is the co-founder of Dream11 quoted this to Hindustan Times.

Also, it is learned that former Indian skipper had declined endorsement ties with JSW after he became the president of BCCI as JSW are the co-owners of Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals who were the runners up of the recently concluded cash-rich league. Also, Ganguly refused the offer from TATA motors and BYJU’s as both companies are directly associated with the Indian cricket board.

Also, many experts defended Ganguly by adding that there is no harm in endorsing My11Circle as there is no clause signed between our official sponsor Dream11 and Board that the official from the board can’t advertise their rival platforms.
