The sporting events all over the world has been halted for months due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The French Open has been shifted from May to September this year while the Wimbledon Grand Slam event is expected to be called off this year which was scheduled to be played between June 29 to July 12.

The Tennis maestro Roger Federer on Monday posted a minute-long video of himself practising some of his trademark trick shots in his house backyard. The 38-year-old posted the video as he captioned  “Making sure I still remember how to hit trick shots #TennisAtHome”.

The Swiss sensation last played in January in the Laver Cup before getting surgery of his long time injury on his right knee. He also announced that he would be missing out on the Dubai Open, Indian Wells tournament and the French Open. “My right knee has been bothering me for a little while, I hoped it would go away, but after an examination and discussion with my team, I decided to have arthroscopic surgery in Switzerland yesterday,” Federer posted on Twitter.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the French Open has been moved to the September window, two weeks after the US Open. Federer might play in the tournament as he now has time to recover and prepare for one of the major Grand Slam events.

The 20-time Grand-Slam winner along with his wife Mirka also donated $ 1 Million Swiss Francs to the families affected by the coronavirus. The last time Federer played in a major tournament was in the Australian Open where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic in the semi-final round. The Swiss Legend holds the record of winning the most number of Wimbledon titles (8) in his career and it is also being speculated that Wimbledon will be cancelled this year as the United Kingdom is one of the epicentres of the Coronavirus cases.
