New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Tuesday confirmed of going ahead with the side’s upcoming fixtures of their home season in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Black Caps will be playing in the home season and countries like Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh and West Indies also confirmed touring for the series despite the coronavirus pandemic.

New Zealand Cricket CEO David White also said that the Board is working on arranging the best isolation arrangements for the upcoming home series. The visiting teams will be provided with the best possible arrangements for the isolation as the officials held talks in Wellington on the same.

“I was just on the phone to the West Indies, they’re confirmed, Pakistan is confirmed, Australia and Bangladesh, so (there will be) 37 days of international cricket,” White informed reporters.

White also praised the Board and also optimistic about the team’s schedule and also said that they are making tremendous progress in making it happen.

He said that NZC will also follow the ECB’s model of the bio-secure “bubbles” used in the series against West Indies and Pakistan. NZC will also try to avail everything inside the “bubble” after seeking permission from the government.

“We’re working through that with the government agencies at the moment, a similar concept… the agencies have been really supportive, the government’s been fantastic,” he said.

New Zealand government has also mandated the 14-day isolation rule for any traveller arriving in the country.
