India vs West Indies Dream11 Prediction
One of the two unbeaten sides in the World Cup, India will take on West Indies in their sixth match at Manchester on Thursday. Having won four out their five games, India is just two wins short to qualify for the semis, while West Indies, on the other hand, have only managed to win one game out of six they have played in the tournament so far.
After producing a clinical performance against Pakistan in their first match, West Indies have remained winless in their next five encounters as another defeat would take them to the door to elimination.
Every encounter from here on will be a must-win for the Carribeans. Prior to the start of the tournament, West Indies came in as the Dark Horse of the World Cup 2011- a side boasting of a powerful batting line up, having players with the likes of Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Shimron Hetmyer to name a few. There have been some close games but the Men from Carribeans have failed their team over the line and thus are languishing at the bottom half of the table.
Ahead of the next game against India, players with the likes of Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetymer, and Shai Hope will be the key batsmen for Windies, while Sheldon Cottrell and Jason Holder would look to take wickets early on in the power play overs.
Barring the last game against Afghanistan, India has produced clinical performances in the tournament. Questions have been raised over KL Rahul’s shot selection once again as the 29-year old batsman once again threw his wicket away after getting a decent start. Considering, Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament, perhaps, it’s time when KL Rahul needs to step up to the plate ahead of the coming matches in the tournament.
In addition to that, there has been some debate over Dhoni’s slow innings against Afghanistan. He would look to make amends in the next game as well.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will once again be the biggest bets for India. Both the batsmen boast of a spectacular record against the Windies. Virat has played 32 matches against West Indies in the ODIs, scoring as many as 1840 runs at an average of 70.77, while Rohit Sharma has scored 1219 runs at an average of 64.16.
Given West Indies struggle against spin, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have to be a couple of mandatory picks in your fantasy team.
