World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE is an American professional wrestling and fighting show for entertainment purpose. It is the largest wrestling promotion show that holds over 500 events every year throughout the world. The WWE was previously name as WWF in which some serious fights took place but due to some serious injuries and death the fights were limited to entertainment purposes only. Nowadays the fights are even rehearsal are being conducted before the fight and the fights are choreographed for entertainment purpose.

Summer Slam is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event and WWE event produced by WWE for their Raw and SmackDown brands. It is considered as one of  “The Biggest Party of the Summer”. It is one of the most awaited event after WrestleMania. SummerSlam started on August 29, 1988 at Madison Square Garden in New York City and was considered as of the biggest show in history.

With the next SummerSlam knocking at our door and we are looking forward to some great fights of the season. Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton are the first champions of the SummerSlam. There has been some spectacular matches in the history of Summerslam some of which are the matches between Undertaker and Brock Lesner and John Cena, the epic return of Michael and many more. This year even we are looking forward to some great fights as well but before that lets have a look at some epic battles in the history.

It was the most awaited match at that time and Rock was considered the champion. The match began with Brock dominating the fight but later Rock fought back. But the game took a turn and Brock Lesnar won the battle and became the youngest WWE champion.

John Cena and Randy Orton were considered as the top young players at that time. They had wrestled each other many a time but this was one hell of of a match. Orton and Cena gave everything they had to this battle and but at last John Cena won the battle and became the champion of the season.

The Undertaker vs Edge, SummerSlam (2008)

Undertaker and Edge had face each other in many match and Edge had even defeated undertaker in some of the matches of WrestleMania and the same happened in the start of the SummerSlam where he was beating Undertaker but the match took a turn and Undertaker became the winner. It was a one great match to see and it was all due to Undertaker’s chokeslam for which he is so famous.

John Cena vs Brock Lesner, Summer (2014)

John Cena was the 15 time world champion during that time and the authority were determined to get the belt off him at the SummerSlam so they recruited Brock Lesnar for this purpose. Cena thought he was ready for Lesner but it turned out to be a one-sided match and “the beast” Lenser was able to take him down easily. This was one epic match and was completely different from other WWE matches that we had ever seen, turning it into a classic match.

Rey and Eddie are two great Mexican wrestlers with great track record of their achievements. The SummerSlam of 2005 otherwise known as the ladder match is one famous match which was played to win the custody of Rey Mysterio’s son Dominick.

Hulk Hogan was the face of WWE in the year of 2005, which was the golden age of wrestling. This was would have been an amazing match but it turned out to be a failure due to the attitude of Hulk Hogan.

Bret Hart vs Owen Hart, SummerSlam (1994)

This is an one spectacular match in which was fought in a steel cage. It is one of the most celebrated match of the WWE history. In the cage match whosoever comes out of the ring is the winner of the match. Owen and Bret were specialists of the SummerSlam, and this match was one chaotic battle between two skilled brother and wrestlers. This match is one of the greatest match in the history and was a spectacle to the eyes of the viewers.

This match was one important match as it put Summerslam on the maps. Around 80000 people packed the stadium to cheer these two wrestlers. This was the first and only SummerSlam to be set in UK.

This was the first ever table, ladders and chairs match at SummerSlam 2000. The hardy brothers who were good with brother, the Dudley boyz for putting people through tables to Edge & Christian who beat with chair came together for a match. The TLC saw its participants giving a rough fight to each other and hurting one another badly. This was entirely new type of match. TLC changed the figure and structure of the WWE games.

Bret is considered as one of the best and the best that WWE has ever seen. Bret was facing Undertaker with his biggest rival being Shawn Michaels as the Guest Referee. This match was three great wrestlers in their top game giving a great show.

Though this match was sanctioned as a street fight but it later turned out to be WWE  matches. This match was a wonderful entertainment and at the same time a nasty fight. It reminded the people Shawn Michaels, a great player whom the world had forgotten.

CM Punk vs Brock Lesner, SummerSlam (2013)

It was a match between the best vs the beast. The record of CM Punk wasn’t running good at that time but he went straight for Brock Lenser, the beast of all time. Noone was able to Lesner a fight but Punk not only gave him a good fight but got in a topsy turvy brawl.
