Glenn Phillips Early Life
Glenn Phillips, the New Zealand international, was born in South Africa and he spent his early childhood days in the African continent. However, the player and his family decided to move to New Zealand when he was five years old.

Glenn Phillips and his parents moved to the Oceania region in 2001. The player is survived by a sibling and his name is Dane Phillips. Donovan Juan Grobbelaar is the brother-in-law of the Kiwi player.
Glenn Phillips Domestic Career
Glenn Phillips made his debut in List A in January 2015. He started the game in the Ford Trophy and that was his first List A-game. The player caught the attention with his swashbuckling century in the second game.
Phillips made his T20 debut against Otago Volts in the Super Smash. He was the highest run-scorer that season with 369 runs. Following this run of games, the player made his first-class debut in March 2017 in Plunket Shield season against Canterbury.
The player got the contract from Auckland for the 2018/19 season. He joined Jamaica Tallawahs in 2020 and Welsh Fire in the first season of The Hundred. He is all set to make his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022 tournament.

Glenn Phillips International Career
Following his impressive performances in domestic cricket, the player was called for the national team. After Martin Guptill got injured in the series against South Africa, he made his T20 international debut against South Africa at Eden Park. He was named for the series against India for the ODI but he did not feature in the game. The player made his test debut in 2020 against Australia after Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls were ruled out due to flu-like symptoms.
In the second T20 game against West Indies after the first wave of the pandemic, Glenn Phillips scored his T20I century. Following his impressive performances, he was awarded the central contract. He was named to New Zealand’s squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
