Understanding Valorant’s rating system has never been easy. The creators have often attempted to provide a number of criteria to give an estimate of how the system functions, but in vain. The majority of players think they should have a higher rank than they have, thus they have a beef with the developers.
Episode 5 “Dimension” Act 1 of the game began last month with the release of the most recent patch 5.0 update. The game’s rank has been reset in advance of the next Act so that participants can start over.
In an effort to reduce player crowding in the lower ranks, Riot has also added a new rank, Ascendant, between Diamond and Immortal. With this new feature, some players have profited because they were given a “double rank up” for their successful play in rated games.
So when does a player in Valorant gain a “double rank up”? This article will address some of the often asked questions players have about the game’s rank system.
Ranked Fact Friday!
Double rank ups come from your rank being "out of the range" of your MMR. The highest MMR range you can have is 3 ranks; so you will guarantee to get a double rank up if you ever get 4 ranks away from your MMR! #VALORANT

Based on their individual performances in competitive matches, players are given a rank-rating. However, there are many considerations that can affect this rank ranking, including Agent choice, playstyle, current rank, and more.
Ascendant is a new ranking that the creators added between Diamond and Immortal in the most recent patch 5.0 update.
To put it simply, a player must consistently perform well and win the majority of his games in order to “double rank up” in the game.
