Breaking News: BCCI to spend massive 500 Crore to upgrade Five major stadiums ahead of Men’s ODI World Cup 2023

With the important world cup scheduled in India which will be held later this year, BCCI is planning to spend a massive 500 Crore to upgrade five major stadiums so that they are completely ready to stage the important event.

Based on reports from different media outlets, five stadiums will be based in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Mohali and Kolkata will be undergoing renovation.

The reason why these stadiums have been chosen after several voices have been raised by fans on social media, as these stadiums lack the basic facilities especially the toilets which aren’t clean at all so renovating these stadiums is extremely important considering the magnitude of the tournament.

BCCI being the richest cricket board can afford this massive amount as the gentlemen’s game being the most followed sport in the country and all these stadiums which are based in these metropolitan cities deserve this rise in standards.

If you compare all the stadiums, roof innovation is not only possible in Delhi due to structural flaws it possess at the top still the cost of 500 crore will be approximately around 100 crore for Delhi, 117.17 crore for Hyderabad, 127.17 crore for Kolkata, 79.46 crore for Mohali and 78.82 crore for Wankhede. 

Twelve venues have been shortlisted for the upcoming marquee event which include the likes of Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharmshala, Guwahati,Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.

As per the other reports, 48 teams will be played in the 46th day ICC event for the coveted crown and there will be huge expectations from India as they hosted last 50 Over world cup in India back in 2011 which they won and this time when the world cup will be held in the same conditions it will not easy for Men in Blue to win this title.
