Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 : This Cricketer is confident about Australia's triumph over India!

One of the most fierce rivalry in world cricket will resume in just 8 days time as Australia’s tour of India begins from February 9. Both the teams will lock horns for the Border-Gavaskar trophy which India won last time around at Australian soil.

Rishabh Pant scripted a historic comeback and clinched GABBA. This year, the hosts will look to continue their dominance over their Aussie counterparts and the significance rises even more because ICC World test championship Finale spots are on offer.

On the same note, Australian Cricketer Steve O’Keefe who last appeared for the national team back in 2017 has expressed his confidence about Australia having a successful tour. He said that the Aussies have developed into a better team as compared to their last tour in 2017.

While we talk about India’s unlucky jinx in foreign conditions. GABBA and Lords were 2 such stadiums where they had not won a Test match for decades.

Australia on the other hand have won only 2 Test series in India since 1969. O’Keefe thinks the 2023 squad is well balanced and far better than any in the past.

I’m so bullish about this team. A lot of those guys who are part of that (2017) experience would have learned so much from that. At times we got close, and the next time becomes a little bit easier. I believe that is going to be the case this time.”

“We’re going over with a strong batting group who play spin really well. Marnus (Labuschagne) hasn’t played over there but is a good player of spin, we’ve seen that already. Cameron Green is elite, so I feel this group is strong.”
