BCCI Central Contracts: Board all set to increase salaries of Rohit Sharma and Company in February

Already known as the richest cricket board in the world, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to organize women’s IPL next year in the month of March 2023 where five teams will compete against each other for the coverted title.

Regarding the most recent development, the board intends to raise the pay of other players who are covered by the central contract, including Rohit Sharma.

According to claims from several media sources, they will raise the salaries of these players by between 10% and 20% from what they are currently paid.

A few players, including Surya Kumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Shubhman Gill, are set to receive promotions to higher grades in central contracts, according to BCCI insider sources.

Speaking to several media sites, an unnamed BCCI official claimed that players’ salaries improve every five years and that our players merit the recognition that has been long overdue.

It is a group decision that will be made with the agreement of all players and office holders.

Regarding the current pay stub, it has been broken down into different categories, including Grade A+, A, B, C, and D, where they receive 7 crore, 5 crore, 3 crore, and 1 crore accordingly.

According to estimates from Inside Sport, 7 crore is probably going to become 10 crore, 5 crore will probably become 7 crore, 3 crore will probably become 5 crore, and 1 crore will probably become 3 crore.

Many senior players including the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha and Shikhar Dhawan will be excluded from the contract.

Players like Suryakumar, Ishan and Gill will be benefitted from this new contract.

India will be playing next match against Black Caps today in Ahmedabad and post that they will be locking horns against Kanagaroos for four match series starting from February 9th 2023 in Nagpur.
